In that time I have managed to glue together all the models I have, so far, for my mechanized Khorne army.

Assembling these models took an absolute age to do. I mean the landraiders themselves took over and hour each, and the eight man Berzerkers squads where just fiddly and annoying. However, once I had completed that I moved onto the mold lines, which are now, 99% away. The only ones that are left are the ones too small and fiddly to get to with my hands and scalple.

Now the fun shall begin as I can now move onto painting!

One Against the many.

I have entered in a friendly competition with some friends over at a website known as The Painted Dragon. This is a very friendly community that is filled with a bunch of table top war gamers, like myself. With the age of everyone being from as young as 14, right up to people in their 40s and the such.

The aim of the site is to help people show off their hobby skills and improve upon pre-excisiting skills. I like the place as it gives me inspiration of improve my painting skills and to try and make more unique models. Who needs yet another standard pose Space Marine staring across at them from across the table?

So with that in mind one of the Moderators on the forum came up with a Challenge Anthea type deal, where people would have come up with a game legal army (of any system) with a minimum point value of 1500. Also you would have to come up either a piece of terrain or an objective marker (last one is mainly for Warhammer 40k), this is to help promote the idea of the challenge.

The name he decided to called it: Challenge Gareth (the name of the moderator who first came up with the idea.

Now this competition is for fun and bragging rights only. There is no prize. If anything this is purely a way to kick people up the back side to actually complete the army the started.

God knows how many models I've started on a proposed list and gave up after the first unit as I just couldn't be bothered any more!

So for my entry I picked a list for a force I have wanted to do for an absolute age: A mechanized Khorne Berzerker army.

The list I entered looks like this:

Kharn 165
8 zerks champ PW 198
Land raider 220

Dreadnaught - Close combat weapon, Heavy flamer - 110 pts

5 termies 4 pairs of LC, 1 fist, 1 H-flamer, Khorne 240
Land Raider

8 zerks champ, PW MB 203
rhino 35

vindicator 125

Total 1496

This list gives me an army under thirty models. Which to me doesn't seem very fair or sportsman like, so I am going to up my list to 2000 points. I still have no idea of what I am going to spend the extra 500 points on yet, but at the very least I'll add another set of 8 Berzerkers in a rhino to give me three troop choices.

Enough right now, I'm off to get assembling!
